Partner Program

You already recommend it. Do it on the record

Every Domicile account comes with a referral link. The partner program is what sits behind it: either the people you send get a better price than the pricing page offers, or you earn a share of what they pay — agreed with you, one arrangement at a time.

Two Arrangements

A better price for them, or a share for you

Both start from the same link. Which one you run is the conversation we have when we read your application.

A discount for them

Your link takes a set percentage off a paid plan for everyone who signs up through it — the arrangement to ask for if what you want is a better offer for your audience than the one on the pricing page.

A share for you

You earn a percentage of what each person you refer actually pays, for as long as they keep paying. It accrues per invoice, so it grows with the account rather than paying once at sign-up.

One or the other

Never both. A share is worked out from the revenue a discount removes, so running the two together would be paying out of money that was never collected. We agree which one with you.

Applying

Tell us how you’d introduce it, and we’ll read it.

There is no form full of traffic numbers. You write a few sentences about who you’d share Domicile with and why they’d care, and someone here reads it and comes back to you by email.

  • Apply from the Partner Program page in your account
  • A few sentences is the whole application
  • We set the terms and confirm them with you
  • Your referral link works from day one, partner or not

Applications are reviewed by a person. Approval is not automatic, and we don’t publish a turnaround time we can’t hold ourselves to.

How earnings clear

Held until a referral has actually stayed.

A revenue share accrues when a referral’s invoice is paid, then waits. Nothing becomes releasable until that account has completed the number of paid billing cycles agreed in your terms.

  • Accrues per paid invoice, in whole cents
  • Held for the paid cycles your terms set
  • A refunded payment reverses the accrual it earned
  • Your balance shows earned, held and paid out separately

The hold is why a sign-up that refunds immediately cannot be paid out. A reversal can leave a balance negative, and the page shows it that way rather than rounding it up to nothing.

Getting paid

Through our payments provider, not through us.

Payout details are entered with the payments provider that moves the money, so your bank details never reach Domicile. Releases are made by us in batches, once earnings have cleared their hold.

  • Payout setup happens on the provider’s own onboarding
  • We never see or store your bank details
  • Releases are batched, not per-invoice
  • Every release is recorded on your payouts list

The payout connection is configured per environment and is not switched on everywhere yet. Where it isn’t, your balance keeps accruing and the page says so — it doesn’t pretend to take details it can’t use.

Questions

What partners ask first

What’s the commission rate?

There isn’t one published rate. Terms are set per partner when we review your application, because what makes sense for a newsletter with a home-reno audience is not what makes sense for a contractor who sets up every client. We agree the number with you before anything goes live.

Can I give a discount and earn a share?

No. A partner runs exactly one of the two, and the system refuses to hold both. A share is calculated from the revenue a discount would remove, so the pair together would pay out money that was never collected.

When do I get paid?

After a referral has completed the paid billing cycles your terms set, and after payout setup is finished with our payments provider. Releases are made in batches by us, and each one appears on your payouts list with its amount and status.

What happens if someone I referred gets a refund?

The share we credited you for that payment is reversed. If you had already been paid it, the reversal comes off your next earnings — which can show as a negative pending balance until it clears.

Do I see who signed up through my link?

No. You see how many accounts came from your link and what they have earned you. Who they are and what is in their home is theirs, and the program is not a reason to change that.

Do I have to be a paying customer?

No. You need a Domicile account, because that is where your referral link and your balance live, and the free plan is enough for that. Most partners do run their own home on Domicile — it is easier to recommend something you use.

Can a partnership end?

Yes, from either side. A partner account can be paused, in which case nothing new accrues and anything already earned stays on the balance. Your referral link keeps working; it just stops earning.
